The Essendon 2026 Puma Dreamtime Guernsey is more than a match-day guernsey, it is a powerful reflection of story, survival, culture and community.
Created by Gunditjmara woman Aunty Karen Lovett, the 2026 Dreamtime design titled “A Piece of Me” shares her personal journey growing up in institutions, while honouring Elders who have passed and recognising the strength of Aboriginal people who endured through policies and systems.
To be worn during Sir Doug Nicholls Round, including the annual Dreamtime at the ‘G clash under lights at the MCG, the guernsey carries layers of meaning through traditional symbolism and artwork.
